in the absence of color

I remember doing all white models first and second year in my industrial design education. You get to see the shapes more clearly when not obfuscated by color. I struggled with this idea when I was younger but see the elegance and beauty of designing in the absence of color.

The tools of yesteryear were cooler

My Industrial Design education afforded me the opportunity to use (and own) a great number of beautiful and esoteric tools. While i never had this tool (it’s not intended for industrial designers), I find it to be beautiful. I wonder if my grandfather, who was a draftsman, might have used this or something similar.
